After losing his balance and falling at home, Charles Valetske was rushed to the Penn State Holy Spirit emergency room, where he experienced significant pain on his left side. He was diagnosed with a left hip fracture and underwent a surgical repair with the orthopedic team.

Following the surgery, Charles faced challenges with mobility. During his hospital therapy evaluation, he could only walk 30 feet with the aid of a walker and assistance from the staff.

When she first arrived, Dixie couldn’t put any weight on her right upper extremity and required a sling. Dixie couldn’t walk on her own and needed assistance with all her activities of daily living.
