Charles Valetske

After losing his balance and falling at home, Charles Valetske experienced significant pain on his left side and was rushed to the Penn State Holy Spirit emergency room. He was diagnosed with a left hip fracture and underwent a surgical repair with the orthopedic team.

Following the surgery, Charles faced challenges with mobility. During his hospital therapy evaluation, he could only walk 30 feet with the aid of a walker and assistance from the staff.

Recognizing the need for continued rehabilitation, Charles chose VibraLife, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center in Mechanicsburg, conveniently located near his home.

With a strong desire to return home, Charles committed himself to an intensive therapy program. The physical and occupational therapy teams worked closely with him to improve his strength, mobility, and confidence. Meanwhile, the nursing staff ensured that all his medical needs were met throughout his stay.

Charles credits his rapid recovery to the dedicated team at VibraLife, whose support and expertise helped him reach his goals faster than he expected. Just 12 days after admission, he was walking over 150 feet independently and was ready to return home!
